Volunteering in Ioannina: Agios Athanasios - Asylum Seeker Accommodation Facility for Minors 2024

6 months long voluntarism opportunity which aims to support unaccompanied asylum seeker minors' well-being and education, and to raise awareness about asylum seeker theme among the local citizens. Main activities of a volunteer are going to be planning, preparation and implementation of informal and non-formal educational activities for male asylum seeker teenagers in ages 12-17, as well as work on online content creation (articles, photography, video, podcasts, etc) on themes related to asylum seekers. Each volunteer will implement non-formal education activities with teenagers 3-5 times a week, attend weekly preparation meetings 2 times a week and work on online content creation (on themes connecting with asylum seeker integration) few hours every day. When covid restrictions or other local conditions do not allow volunteers to work with asylum seekers, we will concentrate on online content creation and other initiatives of volunteers within the scope of this activity.
